flaming:
The art of securing one-upsmanship on an Internet message board through the superior use of insulting criticism or remarks, humor, debate, psychology, literary devices, or other techniques.
spelling flame:
n. // A posting ostentatiously correcting a previous article's spelling as a way of casting scorn on the point the article was trying to make, instead of actually responding to that point. Of course, people who are more than usually slovenly spellers are prone to think _any_ correction is a spelling flame. It's an amusing comment on human nature that spelling flames themselves often contain spelling errors.
flame bait:
n. // A posting intended to trigger a flame war, or one that invites flames in reply. Also referred to as trolling.
flame war:
n. // An acrimonious dispute conducted on a public electronic forum such as Usenet.
flamer:
n. // One who habitually flame's.
dictionary flame:
n. // An attempt to sidetrack a debate away from issues by insisting on meanings for key terms that presuppose a desired conclusion or smuggle in an implicit premise. A common tactic of people who prefer argument over definitions to disputes about reality. Similiar to the spelling flame.

YHBT:
You Have Been Trolled. Especially used in "YHBT. YHL. HAND.", which is widely understood to expand to "You Have Been Trolled. You Have Lost. Have A Nice Day". You are quite likely to see this if you respond incautiously to a flame-provoking post that was obviously floated as sucker bait.
troll:
1. To utter a posting on a message forum designed to attract predictable responses or flames; or, the post itself. Derives from the phrase "trolling for newbies" which in turn comes from mainstream "trolling", a style of fishing in which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite.
